He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross F. Dicks and Louise Martinez-Dicks; his grandparents, Joseph, Janet Newhook Chafe, Elias and Dorcas Dicks-Hussey; and his aunts and uncles, William, Bobby Chafe, Mabel Ray and Ena Moore.
He is survived by: his siblings, David Chafe of Thompson, MB, Frank Martinez (Cheryl) of Winnipeg, MB, Ross Dicks (Allison Richards) of Gloucester, ON, Pauline Reid (Don) of Hopeall, Helen Martinez and Clarice Ruby (Allan) of St. John's; his cousins, Lillian Power, Danny Power (Donna), Robert Barker (Joy), Teresa Barker of St. John's and Charles Barker; and his nieces and nephews, Shawn, Jeff, Lisa, Helen Marie, Donald, Peter, Mitchell, Corey, Alexandra, Kathryn, Callum, Quinn, Brayden, Paige, Kayden, Tyson, Madelyn, Lawson and Toren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Caul's Chapel (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8).
