She was predeceased by: her son Bradley; her mother Marion Trickett; and her father-in-law Gordon Butler. She is survived by: her husband Wayde Butler; her sons, Brandon (Alyssa) and Jared; her father Lewis Trickett of Topsail; her brother Gary (Judi); her nephew Mark Trickett (Jenny); her niece Gina Trickett (Brian); her mother-in-law Ruth Butler; her sister-in-law Valerie Butler (Tim); and her aunts and uncles, Margaret, Walter Hamlyn of Corner Brook, Diane and Ewart Locke of St. John.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or Janeway Children's Hospital.
