She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin Roland Smith; her parents, Eli Jacob (Eliza Jane Gill) and Bonavista Bay; and her siblings, Jack, Fran, Carrie and Evelyn.
She is survived by: her children, Tom, Jim (Sharon), Brian (Jan), Richard (Lisa) and Mary Jane (Craig); her sister Rose (Gary); her niece Robin (Jeff); her siblings-in-law, Shirley and Bill; and her family Dr. Matthew Grenning. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a very large circle of friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Hickey's Funeral Home (570 Conception Bay Hwy, Conception Bay South, NL A1X 7P8). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church.
