It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. Lavhey of Terrenceville, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 13, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary J. Lavhey to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Lavhey; her parents, Patrick McCarthy and Bridget McCarthy; and her sisters, Florence Mitchell, Frances Hickey, Elizabeth Myles and Sarah Pardy.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Hynes (Frank) of St. John's, James Lavhey (Deborah) of Medicine Hat, AB and William Lavhey (Debbie) of Terrenceville; her grandchildren, Heather (Inna), Billy, Frank, Patrick (Renee), Matthew (Kate) and Connie (Adam); her great grandchildren, Bella, Dayton, Winter, Kai, Aria and Randy; and her brother Maurice McCarthy.

In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020 from 10am – 4pm.

In Mary's memory donations may be made to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church or Cemetery Fund, Terrenceville.
