He is survived by: his daughters, Mona Brinston (Geoff), Christine Hussey (Ted), Carolyn Smith (Len), Pamela Smith (Otto) and Angela Smith (George); his grandchildren, Arlene (Rob), Scott (Kathleen), Mark (Holly), Travis (Natasha), Douglas, Robyn (Mason), Aaron and Murray (Susan); his brother Ben Gardner; and his sister-in-law Margaret Moore.

Donations in his memory may be made to St. Andrew's Cemetery Fund, Sunnyside or a charity of one's choice.
