It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Head (Summerford, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Brown and George Brown; her husband George E. Head of Boyd's Cove, NL; her brother Lorne Brown; her siblings-in-law, Horace Baldwin, Lucy (Issac LeDrew), Marie (Harold Burry), Levi (Henrietta Head), Leah, Blanche Head, Peter Head and Fred Thoms; her son-in-law Cluny Sheppard; and her sister-in-law Shirley Thoms.
She is survived by: her daughters, Golda Sheppard, Dorothy Dove (Boyce), Pheobe Farr (Victor), Eileen Mercer (Bruce), Sharon Rogers (Dennis) and Marie Oake (Fred); her grandchildren, Tina Belbin (Scott), Jennifer Welsh (Byron), Lorna Sargent (Chris), Ann Marie Hodder (Kirk), Andy Coish (Leslie), Michael Coish (Jennifer), Vicki Farr, Wendy Ings (Jody), Peter Farr (Natasha), David Mercer (Brenda), Stephen Mercer (Stacey), Adam Rogers (Ashley), Sarah Oake (Justin), Andrew Oake (Rebecca) and Alex Dove (Michelle); and her siblings, Laura Freake (Welby), Fern Snow (Alex), Trudy, Roy Brown (Barbra) and Violet Churchill (Eric).
