He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Benoit and Caroline Benoit; and his brothers, Basil and Ignatius. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Janet, Joan (Ashley) and Philip Jr. (Crystal); his stepchildren, Rhonda, Robert (Tammy) and Lloyd (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Shawn (Maria), Steffany, Mia, Corben and Maci; his great grandchild Beckham; his siblings, Bernard (Marjorie), Arnold (Jeanette), Richard (Vanessa), Tommy (Grace), Valetta, Leila (Jim), Orena (Shawn), Nancy (Gord), Lorraine and Paula (Bill); and his close friend Copper. He is also survived by step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Cape Church.
