Murdock Joseph Barter Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Murdock Joseph Barter (Stephenville, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 8, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Augine Barter and Joseph Barter; his siblings, Thomas, Patrick, Walter, Dorothy and Margaret; and his son-in-law Ken.

He is survived by: his wife Gladys; and his children, Bob (Gail), Edward (Colleen), Ivan (Debbie), Richard (Sue), Glen (Maureen), Carolyn (Keith), Diane (Dean), Gina and Sandra (Blain). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, October 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the St. Ann's Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Murdock's memory may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.
