She is survived by: her children, Patrick Hynes (Riza) and Dana Sheppard (Paul); her grandchildren, Cameron Sheppard, Nicole Sheppard (Miki), Danica Hynes (Shane) and Chelsea Hynes (Stephen); her sisters-in-law, Teresa Hynes, Rose O'Connell (Danny) and Theresa Hynes; and also June Alton. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Monica's memory may be made to the CNIB or to a charity of one's choice.
