It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Minette Cora Shave of Stephenville, Newfoundland, born in Norris Point, Newfoundland, who passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Major and Jessie Major; her husband Gerald; her siblings, Mona Wadden (Murray) and Roland Major (Louise); and her siblings-in-law, Mark Genge (Maxine), Philip, Pearl Shave, Joshua Shave (Joan), Norma Major (Carl) and Grace Shave.

She is survived by: her children, Ada Shave, Carl Shave (Kathy), Geraldine O'Brien (Gary), Robert Shave (Doreen), Jim Shave (Hilda) and Tom Shave (Susan); her grandchildren, Stephen (Ilda), Nicola, Nancy (Deyon), Christopher, Michelle (Santiago), Brittney (Ian), Matthew, Susan (Sheldon) and Robbie; her great grandchildren, Alex, Melissa, Meghan, Mason, Callum, Gemma, Cody, Faith, Isla and Sawyer; her siblings, Carl Major, Maxine Genge, Ina Major and Kevin (Anne); and her siblings-in-law, Murray Wadden, Margarita Lockhart (Jim) and Louise Major.
