We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2024, at the age of 100, Janet Peyton of Stephenville, Newfoundland, born in Gooseberry Cove, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Edgar Smith; her husband John Elias Peyton; and her siblings, Eliza Cull (Graham), Ivy Welsh (Nicholas), Arthur (Violet), Joseph (Emeline), Edwin (Mary), Claude (Marilyn), Jack (Frieda) and Dot Miller.
She is survived by: her mother Delilah Smith; her brother Clayton (Marie); her sons, Sterling (Juanita), John (Lillian), Archibald (Winnie) and Larry (Kerry Lynn Gosse); her grandchildren, Tricia, Chad, Brent, Blair, Paul, Chris, Larry, Petrina and James; her great grandchildren, Emily, Mitchell, Liam, John William, Brooklyn, Jackson, Elias, Cameron, Sydney and Sarah; her caregivers, Doreen Delouche-Denty and Cathy Wells; and her friend Ruby Henderson. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
