He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Lee; his parents, Charles Lee and Myrtle Lee; his son-in-law Eric Slaney; and his grandson Phillip Francis Frankie.

He is survived by: his close friend Michael Joseph Hann; his stepchildren, Edward Hefferan (Bernadette), Aloysius Hefferan, Ron Hefferan (Kelli), Michael Lundrigan, Linda Benoit (Daniel), Wanda Hann (Matthew), Mary Ellen Bennett (Peter), Mary Agnes Hefferan, Martha Sheppard, Laurie Flanders, Pauline Lewis (Darren), Ida White (Sandy) and Madonna Slaney (Eric); his daughters, Natasha Lee and Charlene Lee (Sheldon); and his siblings, Gerald Lee (Darlene), Carson Lee (Beatrice), Dallas Loder (Tony) and Shirley Ward (Jim). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and a large circle of extended family.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the Autism Society.
