He was predeceased by: his parents, Isley McConnell and John McConnell; his wife Joyce Laing; his siblings, Johnny, Norman, Bill and Charlene; his grandson Matthew; and his great grandchild Matthew.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Jr. McConnell (Leila), Dahlia Gagnon (Rick), Dorinda Shaw (Dean), Daphne McConnell (Ivan Kerfont), Dwayne McConnell (Verna), Dawna Barry (Ron) and Donald McConnell (Janine); his sister Frances; and his sister-in-law Bonnie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel's memory may be made to the Zion Pentecostal Church, Stephenville.
