He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Newhook and Angela Newhook; his niece Rose; his sister-in-law Maisie; and his aunts, Shirley Marsh and Isabell Shears.

He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bobby" (Julia) and Sabrina; his grandson Dylan; his girlfriend Lorraine; his stepchildren, Loretta (Adam), Charlene and Stephen (Charmaine); his siblings, Cyril (Ellen), Carl (Ina), Verna (George), Kevin (Brenda), Jean (Tony) and Karen (Mike); his father-in-law Dean Major (Alfreda); and his siblings-in-law, Wilson (Yvonne), Darcy (Heather), Florence (Joseph) and Darlene.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations in Clyde's memory may be made to the Heatherton United Church.
