With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Catherine Gibbon (Stephenville, Newfoundland), born in Carbonear, Newfoundland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Butt and Margaret Butt; her parents-in-law, Gordon and Lottie Gibbon; her sister Carolyn Stuckless; her siblings-in-law, Audrey Butt and Mont Mills; and her nephew Bernie Butt.
She is survived by: her husband Don Gibbon (Dynamite); her children, Karen Alexander (Tony), Don Gibbon Jr. (Elaine) and Ron Gibbon (Sonia); her grandchildren, Marc Alexander, Jordan Alexander, Stephanie Gibbon, Brianna Gibbon (Cameron), Amber Gibbon (Adam), Garrett Gibbon (Alexis) and Cara Gibbon; her siblings, Gerty Bruce (Bob), Andy Butt (Debbie), Mary Sullivan (Tom), Linda Mills, John Butt (Arlene) and Gina White (Nelson); her brother-in-law Sterl Stuckless; and also, Debbie Joyce and Edna Ogden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many beloved friends.
Carrying forward Kay's legacy of kindness and generosity, as expressions of sympathy, the family suggests donations in Kay's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or by "paying it forward" with acts of love and kindness to others.
