He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Lane and John Lane; and his sister Catherine Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his sons, Benjamin (Juanita Stein), Donald (Sandra Stacey) and Douglas (Laurie LaVallee); his grandchildren, Daniel, Theron, Christin, Matthew, Andrea, David and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Theo, Georgia, Alice, Amanda-Lynn and Christine; his siblings, George (Kay), Ken (Mary) and Linda Sparkes (Don); and his brother-in-law Mike Hayes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Russells Funeral Home (57 Prince Rupert Dr, Stephenville, NL A2N2Z5). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Anglican Church (300 Main st., Port au Port East, NL A0N1T0).
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Ben's memory may be made to the Addiction and Recovery Center.
