He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Howell and James Howell; his brothers, Lesley and Herman; his parents-in-law, Maxwell Butt and Beulah Butt; and his sister-in-law Ina Mahu.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Howell; his children, Lindsey (Roxanne), Tina (John Downey), Dana (Todd Philpott) and Robyn (Jeremiah Jamieson); his grandchildren, Alicia, Lynea, Kayla, Benjamin, Emily and Grace-Sea; and his great grandchildren, Nashawn, Serenity and McKinley.

Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one's choice in Reggie's memory.
