He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dowding and Carrie Dowding; his sister Doris; his brother-in-law Tom Barbour; his parents-in-law, Edgar and Gwendolyn Hounsell; his siblings-in-law, Aaron, Lloyd, Herbert, Allen and Fannie Best; and his great-niece Jenny Barbour.
He is survived by: his wife Daisy (Housnell); his daughters, Beverly (Trevor Flynn) and Karen (Jeff Sullivan); his siblings, Sandy (Margaret), Harry (Sandra), Winston (Barb), Barry (Rosalind) and Roma; and his grandchildren, Kai, Bryana, Keanna, Shaylene and Gabe.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cowen Heights United Church (141 Frecker Dr, St. John's, NL A1E4W1). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
