He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearce Rice and Myrtle Rice; his wife Jane Rice; his daughter Laura Curtis (Jamie); and his sister Betty Whiteway (Aubrey).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas' Anglican Church (8 Military Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2C4). The inurnment was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at the Anglican Cemetery (23-1 Empire Ave, St. John's, NL A1C3E4).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Wayne's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
