James Canning Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2025, James Canning (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry James' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May James' journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.

He was predeceased by: his father Cletus. He is survived by: his wife Jennah; his uncles, Lawrence and Jerome; and his cousins, Calvin and Jennifer. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A reception will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Bannerman Brewery (90 Duckworth St, St. John's, NL A1C1E7).
