She was predeceased by: her parents, Chesley Thorne and Mabel Thorne. She is survived by: her husband James William Rice; and her siblings, David Thorne (Valarie) and Ruth Montgomery. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 565 Kenmount Rd, St. John's, NL A1B3P9.
