He was predeceased by: his wife Jessie Cheater; his parents, Jesse Cheater and Pleasance Cheater; and his siblings, Wes, Lionel, Annie, Ralph, Lyle, Charles and Tom.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Cheater (Jakki Annerino), Elaine Galley (Ron Plankeel) and Judy Snow; his grandchildren, Melissa Shipley (Travis), James Cheater, Alan Snow, Angela Snow (Patrick Halley) and Alex Snow (Kyle Shepherd); and his great grandchild Calvin Shipley.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Anglican Cemetery (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3).
