She was predeceased by: her husband Roy D. Saunders; her parents, Lloyd Vey and Beatrice Vey; and her sisters, Shirley, Louise and Joan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lorna Oldford (Vern), Denise Saunders (Corbett Morris) and Tracey Marshall (Scott); her siblings, Judy Sullivan (Terry), Rosemary Leaman (George) and Eli Vey (Sandra); her grandchildren, Megan King (Mark Roberts), Allison Dawe (Tim), Ashley Wendland (Michael), Victoria Philpott (Luke), Laura Marshall and Eric Marshall; and her stepgrandson Matt Morris.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery (53 James Ln, St. John's, NL A1E3H3).
