He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey; his parents, Jacob Fifield and Annie Fifield; and his siblings, Fanny, Queen, Jane, Alwin, Edgar, Mabel and Lester.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Gilbert (Karl), Tony Fifield (Alice), Diane Johnson (Shawn) and Laurie Thompson (Mark); his grandchildren, Shelly (Brad), Jackie (Colin), Sheri (Joe), Angie (Scott), Toni, Kayla (Grey), Christopher (Christina), Amanda and Adam (Krisi); his sisters, Nellie Oram and Marie Wells (Colin); and his sister-in-law Sharon Vokey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital or the Lung Association.
