We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025, at the age of 89, Joan Ryan of Spaniards Bay, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William; and her parents, Matthew Brazil and Agnes Brazil. She is survived by: her children, Michael Ryan (Sharon), Lucy Hayward (Robert), Paulette Bannister (Dale), Anthony Ryan (Eleanor) and Paul Ryan (Donna); her son-in-law Glenn Mercer; her siblings-in-law, Josephine Brazil (Lynch), Marie Brazil (Lynch), John Woodford and Leo Coombs (Carolyn); her children, Matthew and Anna Maria Mercer; her parents-in-law, John and Mary Anne Ryan; and her siblings, Cecilia, Margaret, Mary Jo Pennell (William), Clare (Harry Gregory), Gerald Brazil, Matthew Brazil (Marina), Michael Brazil and Eileen Woodford.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:20 AM at the St. Joseph's R. C. Church (52 NL-94, Riverhead, NL A0A3P0).
Flowers are gratefully accepted, as expressions of sympathy, or donations may be made in her loving to a Charity of One's Choice.
