She was predeceased by: her husband Frank; her parents, George Austin and Malina Austin; her parents-in-law, Pascoe and Susie Squires; her sisters, Irene and Christine; and her siblings-in-law, Harold, Marcus, Vincent, Byron, Elias and Joan.

She is survived by: her children, Ramona (Paul) and Rennie (Marilyn); her grandchildren, Deanne (Jamie), Dana (Mike), Collin and Aaron; her great grandchildren, Cody, Haley and Sydney; her siblings, Delores, Ramona and Clayton (Betty); her siblings-in-law, Alice, Rose, Bill, Don (Nellie) and Max (Elsie); and her aunt Gwen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended families and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic attendance at the funeral is by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruths memory to Bethal United Church or Canadian Lung Association.
