She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph; her parents, Christopher Dicks and Mary Dicks; her children, Gertie and Michael of Gerard; her daughter-in-law Bernadette; and her siblings-in-law, Laura, Irene, Hannah, Annie, Melinda, Elizabeth, Charlie, Frederick, Daniel and Eric.

She is survived by: her children, Frederick of Rushoon, James (Maureen) of Rushoon, Joseph Jr. (Jessie) of Whitby, Howard (Michael O'Keefe) of St. John, Aiden of Rushoon, Marie Schembri (Emanuel) of Toronto and Gertrude Rickets (Terry) of St. John; her siblings, Susan Norman (Fred) of St. John and Michael Dicks (Priscilla) of Rushoon; and her sister-in-law Adele Cheeseman. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

In Mary's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or flowers gratefully accepted.
