He was predeceased by: his wife Martha; his grandchildren, Reggie and Brooklyn; his parents, Archibald and Mary J Lake; his siblings, Margaret Healey (Jim), Matilda Hynes (Pat), Ann Barron (Fergus), Martha Pevie (Benjamin), Carmel Lake, Eliza Lake, Ambrose Lake, William Lake (Margaret) and Edward Lake (Rita); and his parents-in-law, John and Elizabeth Lake.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Lake (Leona) of Baine Harbour, Juanita Pittman (Darren) of Marystown, Rick Lake of High River, AB, Sherry Lake of Rushoon, Jimmy Lake (Lori) of Sackville, NS and Todd Lake (Paula) of Little Bay; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Mohamed), Gary, Candace (Tyler), Samantha (Mark), Angelina (Dylan), Grace, Noah, Benjamin, Ava, Ricky (Alicia), Raeleigh (Matt), Joey, Max and Alicia; and his great grandchildren, Hanna, Yaseen, Keray, Safia, Mariam, Madison, Kayden, Elizabeth, Kylie, Violet, Austin, Braedy and Lilah.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (286 Ville Marie Dr, Marystown, NL A0E2M0).
