He is survived by: his son Darren Whiffen (Jillian); his granddaughters, Bella and Baylin; and his siblings, Herbert Whiffen (Sheila Butler) of Rushoon, Gregory Whiffen (Melvenia) of Rushoon, Ellen Theresa Cheeseman, Jessie Hynes of Mt. Pearl, Sarah Skiba of New Jersey, U. S, Anne Murphy of Rushoon, Mary Burghardt of Antigonish and Dorothy Stewart (George) of Rushoon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
