He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia; his daughter Barbara; his granddaughter Lydia; his parents, Michael Alyward and Alice Alyward; his parents-in-law, Priscilla and Henry Wiseman; his sisters, Sadie, Johanna and Isabelle; and his siblings-in-law, Florence (Flossy), Percy, Bill Clyde, Felix and Edward.
He is survived by: his children, Philomena (Clary), Kevin, Helen (Vince), Marjorie (Sam), Shelia (Ralph), Phyllis (Sammy), Vonnie (Mike) and Billy (Kayla); his grandchildren, Crystal (Stephen), Stephanie (Marc), Peter (Brook), Lacey (Danny), Chelsea, Vicki (Kerry), Jenetta (Andy), Barbara, Stacy, Garland (Amber), April (Anthony), Dinah, Sam, Kerry (April), Brittany (Duncan), Ashley (Justin), Ryan (Carolyn) and Lyndy; his great grandchildren, Dean, Alanna, Robin, Cedrick, Emy, Ciarra, Nathan, Danika, Lydia, Callen, Trevor, Bronson and Parker; his siblings, Patrick (Johanna), Anne, Gertrude (Ike), Marie and Alice (Austin); his siblings-in-law, Clayton (Connie), Bob (Doris), Ned (Angie), Sophie and Helen (Gord); his niece Katie (Rod); and his friend Walt (Naomi). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends.
As William's wife, Lydia's passing occurred during the 2020 global pandemic, the family were unable to hold a funeral service and wake, therefore, many family, friends and loved ones were unable to pay their last respects.
