He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sampson and Betty Sampson (Isobel) of Placentia; his brothers, Charles and Gerard; and his brother-in-law Martin Penney of Gambo.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Penney of Gambo, NL and Barb Dyke (Chuck) of Truro, NS; his nephews, Darren, Mark and Christopher; his niece Heather; and his friends, Joyce Tobin, Tony, Bridget Tobin and Bill Roule.
Donations in his memory can be made to Palliative Care at the Placentia Health Center.
