He was predeceased by: his wife Jane King-Bonnell (Jean); his daughters, Brenda Harris (Trevor), Barbara Nemetchek (Brad) and Irene (Frank); his parents, Lewis and Jane; his parents-in-law, William and Agnes King; his siblings, Maxwell, Garfield, Eileen, Lucy and Mary; and his brother-in-law Joe Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Gerald (Mary), Terrance (Tina), Robert (Jane), Darryl (Pamela) and Charmaine Miles (Mark); and his siblings, Lewis (Shirley), William (Joanne), Emily Roache (Austin) and Marion Smith. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
