Daniel Sweeney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2022, Daniel Sweeney (Placentia, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Sweeney and Annie Sweeney; his siblings, Leonard (Selina), Patrick Aloysius, William James and Eliza Martin (Patrick); and his son-in-law Mike Shannahan.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Rogers (Pat) and Kim Sweeney (Kurtis McKay); his grandchildren, Brent Shannahan, Ryan Shannahan (Kyle Marshall), Alyssa Hueser (Grant Pelley), Justin Hueser (Kaylyn Johnston) and Chris Hueser; his great grandchildren, Preston, Brookelyn, Paige, Taylor, Lukas, Erin and Emily; his siblings, Mary Jo (Billy Barron), Ted (Marie), Hilda (late Joe Whittle), Anse (Peter Power), Ronnie (Shirley) and Linda (late Jim Murphy); and also Allen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, a private family viewing and funeral service will take place.
