She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Whitten and Mary Whitten; her husband John Chafe; her children, Wayne Chafe and Mary-Lou Aylward; and her siblings, Olive Weir and George.

She is survived by: her children, Billy, George (Dorothy), Boyd and Roxanne Williams (Carl); and her great grandchildren, Brandon, Carla, Mallory, Robin, Jeremy, Justin, Curtis, Claudette, Albert and Jai. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren.
