He was predeceased by: his wife Olive Hibbs; his parents, Silas Hibbs and Levinia Hibbs; his grandchildren, Melissa Saunders, Natasha Hibbs, Gavin Hibbs and Oliver Saunders; his great grandchild Ethan Penny; his sisters, Pansy Hibbs, Berlynn Randell and Gertie Burt; and his sons-in-law, Lorne Keats and Richard Billings.
He is survived by: his children, Gladys Seymour (Dave), Katie Earle (Bill), Madeline Blake (Roland), Barbara Hibbs, Dianne Hibbs (Calvin), Betty Keats, Guy Hibbs (Bernice), Wanda Pope (Bob), Elaine Saunders (Anthony), Christanne Hibbs (Rocky), Leroy Hibbs (Doreen) and Morris Hibbs (Nadine); his siblings, Bessie Burt, Daisy Langdon, Mabel Keats, Rex Hibbs and Norman Hibbs; and his close friend Wood Hibbs. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren; 90 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Botwood Funeral Home (147 Commonwealth Dr, Botwood, NL A0H1E0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the The Salvation Army Citadel (116 Main St, Peterview, NL A0H1Y0).
