She was predeceased by: her husband George Short; her son Gordon Short; her parents, Douglas Tapp and Naomi Tapp; and her siblings, Annie, Jane, Evelyn, Jessie, Catherine, Ambrose, Ernest, Bob, Bill and Ben.

She is survived by: her children, Greg Short (Maxine), Roxanne Yarn (Reg) and Paradise; her grandchildren, Shannon (Tasha), Stephanie (John), Ryan (Katie), Kyle and Cole; her great grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Sam and Jackson; and her sisters, Melida Innis (John), Myrtle Brake (Austin) and Corner Brook. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
