He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Bastow and Emily Bastow; his children, Norine, David and Glen (Mother Evelyn); his son-in-law Tony Murphy; his siblings, Betty Dewley of California, Dallas Morton-Dalton, Ruby Smart (Jack) of St. John's, Marguerite Kelly, Lillian Logan (Mel) of Halifax, NS, Raymond Bastow (Rachael), Francis Bastow and Norman Bastow; and his brothers-in-law, Ted Morton, Jack Picco and Eric Gullage.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Bastow; his children, Scott Bastow (Melissa), Lynn Mercer (John), Sherry Griffin, Debbie Murphy and Craig (Linda); his sisters, Beatrice Picco-Wadland (George), Rose Thain and June Gullage; his grandchildren, Emma, Norine, Ashlee, Jonathan, Kimberley, Donald, Andrew, Mark, Natasha, Nathan, Amy, Cody and Kelli (Mother Yvonne); his great grandchildren, Colby, Payton, Gordon, Cormac, Katherine, Sebastian, Abel, Nina, Lila, Mia, Zofiah and Zhepplen; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley and Anthony Dalton.
Service to commence at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery 53 James Lane, St. John's. In place of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
