It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Julia Powell (North West River, Newfoundland), born in Salvage, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 12, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Prince Powell; her siblings, Roy Lane (Louise), Pearl Powell (Clyde), Winnie Critch (Kenneth) and Ida Lane; and also Clement Lane.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Powell (Ruth) of North, Ida Collins (Arthur) of Eastport and Eileen Quinton (Edgar) of Fredericton, NB; her sister Geri Lane of Drumbo, ON; and also Clara Jane Lane (Brown). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous neices and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church of the Good Shepherd, Happy Adventure or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
