She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Lush and Sarah Lush; her stepfather Edward Green; her son Terry Lindburgh; her grandchildren, Trudy Gill and Andrew Simms; her great grandchild Matthew Horton; her sisters, Stella Pye and Irene Skiffington; and her brothers-in-law, Benjamin Bungay, Ed Maher, Harvey Simms and Lester Skiffington.

She is survived by: her children, Calvin (Patricia) of Newtown, Luke (Debbie) of St. John, Bruce (Joan) of Newtown, Johnny (Louisa) of Newtown, Stella Simms (Freeman) of Little Bay, Sarah Quinlan (Sylvester) of Holyrood, Margaret Vincent (Hughie) of Newtown, Cavell Simms (Glenn) of St. Patrick and Joanne Maddick (Donny) of Goulds; her siblings, Robert Green (Mary) of Paradise, Daisy Bungay of Newtown, Sadie Tucker of St. John, Rose Vincent (Howard) of Newtown and Doris Simms of Springdale; her siblings-in-law, Edward Pye of Newtown, Roy Tucker and Bertha Gill of Gambo; and her close friend Mona Perry of St. John.

In lieu of flowers donations in Gertrude's memory may be made to Trinity United Church, Newtown.
