It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carrie Elliott (Newtown, Newfoundland), who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Andrews and Emma Andrews; her significant other Howard Elliott of Newman's Cove; and her siblings, Rita Perry, Myra Randell, Annie Tiller, Zebedee and Walter.

She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Bennie Rimando and Bob Powers; her children, Max (Dot), Sylvia Powers, Cheryl Powers (Vic) and Paul (Jeannie); her grandchildren, Sherry (Dave), Angela (Darren), Amanda (Gerry), Melissa, Carrie (Justin), Kathryn, Lisa (Adam), Meghan (Jason), Felix and Spencer; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle, Natalie, Chelsea, Emmy, Clark and Jacob; her sisters, Mildred Hillier and Edna Kroone; her siblings-in-law, Robin Andrews and Joe Tiller; and her family Bonavista Bay. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

As an expression of sympathy and in her memory, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the United Church cemetery, Newtown.
