He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Parsons and Llewellyn Parsons; his brother Carl Parsons; his son Dean Parsons; and his parents-in-law, Alice and Cecil Sainsbury.

He is survived by: his wife Louise; his daughter-in-law Lori Winter of Gander; his granddaughters, Katelyn Parsons of Paradise and Kiara Parsons of Paradise; his brother Daniel Parsons (Audrey); and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Saleh (Janshid) of San Diego, USA, Lester Sainsbury (Beatrice) of Roddickton and Derrick Sainsbury (Kim) of Newtown.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Ben's memory may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown.
