With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Ballard (Mount Pearl, Newfoundland), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband John; her son Derek; and her parents, Felix McCarthy and Rose McCarthy. She is survived by: her children, Don (Shirley), Wayne (Julia), Bernardine (Paul) and Donna (John); her grandchildren, Lori (Chris), Shannon, Martin (Leslie), Craig, Kathryn (Derek), Laura (Casey), Jane (Todd), Chris (Ashley), Mark (Mathilde), Peter and Patrick (Halle); her great grandchildren, Liam, Rory, Isabella, Abigail, Mason, Lincoln, Jesse and Benjamin; and her close friends, Frances Power and Annmarie Ottenheimer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Miller Centre's Palliative Care unit or to the ALS Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
