It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Richard Powell (Mount Pearl, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Bette; his parents, Frederick and Mildred; his brother Fred; and his siblings-in-law, Marie, Bud Quinn, Chris Davis, Ruby Davis and Marjorie Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Tony (Judy) and Kim (Chris); his grandsons, David Powell (Kelly), Colby Stamp (Marissa) and Clarke Noseworthy; his brothers-in-law, Tom Davis and Cal Davis (Maureen); and his cousins, Doreen Squires (Lorne) and Helen Collins (Kevin).
