He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred and Edith; his brothers, Douglas, Charles and Ernest; and his grandson Matthew.
He is survived by: his wife Muriel; his children, Honna (David Hodder), Eugene (Colleen) and Robert (Jeanette); his grandchildren, Cassidy, Kylie, Shane, David and Kristina (Jessica); his brother Wesley (Joan); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Janes, Kay Janes, Kathy Chafe (Gerard) and Roger Janes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eugene's memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
