The memory of Nicholas J. McDonald (Mount Carmel, Newfoundland), who passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice McDonald and Sadie McDonald; and his siblings, Michael, Maurice, Jerome, Paddy and Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Annie "Suse" McDonald; his children, Darlene (Calvin) and Barry (Nicole); his granddaughters, Kelsey (Jeremy), Sydney, Cassie, Olivia and Charlotte; and his siblings, Harold, Brian (Linda), Ken (Clara), Annie, Laura and Marcella (Gord). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Town Hall (218 NL-93, Mount Carmel, NL A0B2M0). The inurnment was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Care Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, or a charity of one's choice.
