He was predeceased by: his son Matthew; his parents, Josephine Nolan and Patrick Nolan; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Pauline Power of Admiral's Beach; and also, Fred Power, Neil Lundrigan, Joseph Murray, Christopher Curran, Christopher Power and Eugene McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette; his son Micheal (Heather); his siblings, Brian (Madonna), Ken (Colleen), Patricia (Terry), Alicia (Tony), Ellen (Graham) and Janet (Peter); and his siblings-in-law, Ron (Rose), Albert (Margie), Steve (Ellen), Randy, Rob (Yvette), Anna (Austin), Josie, Marj, Agnes (Fonce), Eileen and Theresa (David). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
