He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his parents, Philip Roche and Eileen Roche; his siblings, Brian (Sue), Frank (Lillian), Phillip, Kay Arsenault (Mike), Alice Walsh (Richard) and Gertie Kelly (Bill); and his brother-in-law Don Murphy.

He is survived by: his children, William Jr, Tom, Madonna Smith (Harold), Isabel Marshall (Wayne), Brenda Andrews (Clyde) and Michelle Roche; his grandchildren, Natasha, Silas, Myles, Amy, Justin and Rick; his great grandchildren, Britney, Shianne and Wyatt; and his siblings, John (Daphne), David (Joan), Paddy, Dionne, Eileen Murphy, Mary Dwyer (Raymond) and Patsy McHugh (Jerome).
