He was predeceased by: his wife Alma; his parents, Robert and Elizabeth; his siblings, Maggie Clements (John), Lydia Penwell (Caleb), Georgina Jones (Larry), George, Arch (Harriett) and Robert (Christine); and his sister-in-law Susie Rose.

He is survived by: his children, Betty, Georgina of Marystown and Bill of St. John's; and his sisters-in-law, Amelia Crewe of Halifax, Eva Cribb of Marystown and Emily Cribb of Marystown.
