He was predeceased by: his parents, Angela Smith and Maxwell Smith; his sister Margaret Osmond (Bob); and his brother-in-law Clarence Earles. He is survived by: his children, Trudy Bennett (Patrick) of Red Harbour, Paul Smith (Lorelei) of Winterland, Jeff Smith of Grand Prairie, AB and Brad Smith (Karen) of Grand Prairie, AB; his grandchildren, Debbie Bennett (Adam), Michael Bennett, Nicholas Smith, Jenna Bennett and Echo Smith; his great grandchildren, Ash, Jordyn and Weston; his sister Sarah Earles of St. John's; and his close friend Dawson Matterface (Maisie) of Boat Harbour.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Homes - Marystown (20-22 Creston Blvd #20, Marystown, NL A0E2M0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Philip's memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Smith Family.
