He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Drake and Clement Drake; his siblings, Maurice Drake (Alice Green) and Flora Brown (Alex); his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Leo Stapleton; his stepmother-in-law Grace Stapleton; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Colleton, Leo Stapleton and Sylvester Stapleton.
He is survived by: his wife Maryann; his children, Paddy Drake (Marion) of Marystown, Danny Drake (Danielle) of Mooring Cove, Geraldine Kovic (Rudy) of Oshawa, ON, Dorothy Johnston (Steve) of Pickering, ON, Wanda Strang (Wayne) of Colborne, ON, June Mayo (Junior) of Creston South and Marie Drake (Philip) of Holyrood; his grandchildren, Bradley (Janelle), Latoya (Hughie), Jonathan (Julia), Matthew, Patrick, Daniel, Craig, Victor (Samantha), Michael (Sarah), Caitlin (Kyle), Stephen, Jordan, Megan (Mark), Felicia (Justin), Jeffery and Ashley; and his siblings-in-law, June Burt of Ontario, Edward Stapleton (Marie) of Ontario and Jerry Stapleton (Carol) of Ontario.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0).
